Meet Lora Rose

Working with adoptive families isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. As an occupational therapist I am an expert in analyzing behavior using a holistic viewpoint and teaching families how to do the same. I believe relational connection is the foundation to building trust that elicits change, and I utilize a strengths-based mentality when working with families.

Rose Occupational Therapy has been a labor of love, derived from a passion for seeing foster and adoptive children feel understood and thriving within their families. I strive to meet families where they are and teach skills to empower the entire family to flourish.

Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, taking my family camping, and playing ball with my dog, Duncan. My husband and I are certified foster parents and have two wonderful children that are fourteen months apart.

What is the ROSE approach?

I am committed to teaching foster and adoptive parents how to best care for their family through the ROSE approach - a holistic and trauma informed method to navigating challenging behaviors.

The ROSE approach teaches parents how to:

Recognize the reason behind behavior

Organize a response to behavior

Stop the cycle of inappropriate behavior

Engage in their relationships

Connection is the foundation to all relationships. Through the ROSE approach, I teach parents practical ways to connect and communicate. My goal for every family is to feel equipped and empowered for any situation that may arise.

Connect.

Play.

Thrive.

Let’s do this together.
